Tips for kids snowboard courses
Kids snowboard course planner
Before the snowboarding lesson, talk to your child about what to expect – explain the program, how much fun it will be, and why learning to snowboard is a cool activity. This will give them some extra motivation!
To ensure that your child can fully concentrate and participate during the class, we kindly ask parents of younger children not to stay directly at the activity area, but to observe from a distance. Thank you for your understanding!
The right clothing and equipment: Please dress in layers to be prepared for changing temperatures throughout the day. A well-fitting helmet, a waterproof ski jacket, pants, and gloves are essential to keep you warm and dry. The right snowboard equipment is also very important for comfortable and safe learning. Please contact our partner, Modern Ski, for the best rental equipment.
The importance of snowboard lessons: Professional courses offer children the best possible introduction to snowboarding, as they receive clear, structured instruction from qualified instructors. This way, they learn the correct technique and important safety rules from the very beginning – all while having a lot of fun with other children.
Beginners can start the course on Sunday or Monday.
Advanced riders can start anytime between Sunday and Wednesday.
Helmets are mandatory for all children's courses.
Meeting point: 10 minutes before the start of the course at the snowboard course flag by the Geingenbühel lift for beginners, and in front of the meeting office at Rosshütte Seefeld for the advanced riders.
Lift Pass: Information will follow
Equipment rental: Information will follow
Please pay in advance, on the first day of the course, or when booking online.
Lunch: Our supervised lunch program is optional and available daily from 12:00 to 13:30 in our newly renovated Lunch Club located near the Geigenbühel ski lift in Seefeld. Price: €16 per lunch, including childcare. You can find the weekly menu here.
Our snowboard courses for children are divided into two levels: one for beginners who have never stood on a snowboard before, and another for those who are already comfortable on their boards and started with their first turn (Beginner+).
For children who feel confident sliding on both edges – front and back – have already tried their first turns, and now want to learn to connect those turns and make them smooth, ride in rhythm, vary their speed, and generally feel more comfortable and fluid on the snow.
Beginner and Beginner+ level courses take place at the Geigenbühel lift in Seefeld – the ideal location for taking those first steps on a snowboard. The terrain gently transitions from flat sections to slightly steeper slopes, providing the perfect environment for building confidence. Children can also practice using different types of lifts, such as the magic carpet and the T-bar lift – an important first step for any aspiring snowboarder.
Courses for more advanced riders take place in the afternoon at the Rosshütte in Seefeld. Our goal is to equip children with the skills to continue learning, to ignite their passion for the sport, and to inspire them to become curious, confident, and respectful snowboarders.
