Tips for Ski pre-school

Ski pre-school planner

Before the ski lesson, talk to your child about what to expect – explain the program, how much fun it will be, and why learning to ski is a great skill to have. This will give them some extra motivation!

To ensure that your child can fully concentrate and participate during the class, we kindly ask parents of young children not to stay directly at the teaching area, but to observe from a distance.

We kindly ask for your understanding that participation in the ski school program is only possible for children who are no longer wearing diapers.

The right clothing and equipment: Dress your child in layers to keep them comfortable as temperatures fluctuate throughout the day. A well-fitting helmet, a waterproof ski jacket, pants, and gloves are essential to keep them warm and dry.

The importance of ski lessons: Professional ski lessons offer children the best possible introduction to the sport, as they receive clear, structured instruction from trained ski instructors. This way, they learn the correct technique and important safety rules from the very beginning – all while having a lot of fun with other children.

Children can start the courses on Sunday or Monday.

Helmets are mandatory for all children's courses

Meeting point: 10 minutes before the start of the course, at the green meeting flag at Geingenbühel ski lift.

Lunch: Our supervised lunch program is optional and available daily from 12:00 to 13:30 in our newly renovated Lunch Club, located near the Geigenbühel ski lift in Seefeld. Price: €16 per lunch, including childcare. You can find the weekly menu here.

Our Ski pre-school is designed specifically for children who are skiing for the first time. The lessons last 2 hours each day – either in the morning or after lunch (with additional booking).

This is the perfect time for children to try something new without missing their parents too much – and to learn in a fun and playful way.

At this early stage of learning, fun and a gradual approach are key.

We guide the children through their first experiences: from walking in ski boots to handling the equipment and getting to know the mountain environment.

We know how quickly things can change when little ones get cold, tired, or feel overwhelmed – that's why we keep everything light, cheerful, and fun.

By the end of the week, your child might already be able to steer a few turns together, brake safely, and control their speed. Many children also get their first experience with the magic carpet or the drag lift.

Our most important goal: to spark enthusiasm and instill a love of skiing that will last a lifetime.
